We're delighted to introduce The Equinox Series of Workshops inspired by the changing light through the seasons and the gorgeous seasonal material available at each stage in the year. From the Spring Equinox through to the Winter Solstice, each bring their own beauty and character to our arrangements and to our lives.
The first workshop takes place on March 24th with a celebration of the Spring Equinox. We will give a masterclass on the balance of light and dark, and of night and day, within the colour composition of our table centrepeices. The class will explore the importance of movement and the need for space within our signature, natural arrangements.
We will also share our creative approach to installations with a demonstration of a floral arch backdrop, as well as teaching the how-to mechanics of the build. All the while, considering the journey and the balance of light within the colour scheme of the florals.
Students will work with the most beautiful selection of spring flowers, including hellebores, muscari, frittillaria, ranunculus and many, many more.
Central to our philosophy at The Informal Florist is wellness and a steadfast belief in the calming power of nature. We will bring this ethos and mindful approach to the workshop and explain how being creative can help you escape the stresses of modern life and improve your wellbeing.
